Pages Without a Topic

Indexable pages that don’t match any of the project’s topics.

Priority: None

Impact: Neutral

What issues it may cause

These pages aren’t counted towards any topic’s coverage, so the Topics reports understate how much content the site has.

How do you fix it

Review the pages with the most clicks first. Where several share a Nearest Topic, widen that topic’s keywords or description. Where they share a subject with no topic, add one. Pages such as legal or careers pages can be left as they are.

What is the positive impact

Unassigned pages that earn traffic or AI citations point to a subject the site covers but hasn’t defined as a topic. Large groups of unassigned pages with the same Nearest Topic suggest that topic’s definition is too narrow.

How to fetch the data for this report template
