Links with Hreflang and Page Language Conflict

Priority: High

Impact: Negative

What issues it may cause

The hreflang information can be used by search engines to show the most relevant page to users in search results.

How do you fix it

The page should be reviewed to determine the appropriate language and the hreflang link updated accordingly.

What is the positive impact

Where the primary language of the page does not match the hreflang language used in hreflangs pointing to the page, search engines may ignore the hreflang links, or the page may be incorrectly shown to users in search results.
